NetBrowser embeds e-Guardian Agent within Cyclades TS100 device

June 14, 2002—NetBrowser Communications, recognized for its remote critical facilities monitoring solutions, has reached an agreement with Cyclades Corporation. The agreement provides networking solutions using Cyclade Linux and Open Source technology to embed its e-Guardian Agent software into the Cyclades TS100 security device server.

The new agreement allows NetBrowser’s customers to safeguard and manage their enterprise-wide critical power, environmental fire safety and physical security machinery upon which their critical networks depend through standard Web-browser from anywhere. NetBrowser refers to this layer of equipment as the Zero Layer, in recognition that there is a facilities critical layer that sits beneath the 7-Layer OSI model. E-Guardian is designed to serve as a compliment to major network management systems by incorporating the network-based monitoring of the Zero Layer, typically found, explains NetBrowser, to cause 30 to 50 percent of network and IT outages.
