June 3, 2002—Pulsatron Technology Corporation has designed a new solution for companies currently using expensive charcoal filtration systems to deal with serious pollution issues.
The Pulsatron Filter Recycling Unit cleans saturated charcoal filters of trapped contaminants including hydrocarbons and mercaptans, restoring the filters for ten or more saturation and cleaning cycles. The system is designed to save companies money while improving the environment.
Based on a study of how various industries use filters, Managing Director Godfrey Harris said that Pulsatron’s new system can save “thousands of dollars on some of the charcoal-based filtration devices now being used, incinerated, or discarded.”
The Pulsatron Filter Recycling Unit combines the electronic power of pulse corona technology with a pressurized deabsorption system to split harmful molecules back to their natural elements. While the company’s Pulsatech(R) device has already proven effective against NOx, VOCs, and odors found in continuously flowing waste streams from burning processes, recycling saturated filters with the same or other contaminants offered both a different problem and an attractive opportunity.
