February 23, 2007—Purifan, Inc., is seeking partnerships nationwide with Health Care Insurance providers to introduce the Purifan Clean Air Wellness Program to the employee groups they insure. The Purifan Clean Air Wellness Program involves educating management about the benefits of aggressively filtering the air in the employee shared office areas to reduce airborne allergens, gasses, and odors.
The goal of the program is to reduce office illnesses and missed sick days by as much as 50%, saving the employer money in paid sick leave and lost employee productivity, and reducing the employee’s usage of health care insurance. Purifans installed in public school buildings have reduced absenteeism by 60% in the first year, says the company.
According to Purifan, it plans to work with Health Insurance Providers nationwide to provide marketing and educational materials for their insured groups. Purifan says it offers no-risk trials to prove to them, with their own insured employee groups, that cleaning up the office air will produce substantial savings for the employers and for the insurers.
The ceiling-hung Purifan has a 5-stage filter and has more than 40 changes of air in one hour, in a 20 by 20-ft. room. The company adds that it has installed more than 32,000 Purifans in such facilities as offices, hospital rooms, restaurants, public waiting rooms, among them.
