June 14, 2006—Rain Bird, manufacturer and provider of irrigation products and services, has created a new online Control Zone Kit Selection Tool to enable customers to easily choose the right control zone kit and components for each Rain Bird irrigation design project or installation.
To use this tool, users go to Rain Bird’s Web site and interactively answer four simple questions about the project to learn which type of control zone kit works best for each drip application. Once a kit is chosen, users can pull up CAD drawings, specifications, and dimensions, allowing the user to integrate the control zone kit into the project plan.
Complete Control Zone Kits provide all the components for on/off control, filtration, and pressure regulation for low-volume irrigation zones, making them simple to specify, order, and install, says Rain Bird.
Kits include such components as Rain Bird’s Quick Check Basket Filter, which contains an indicator on top of the filter that turns red when the filter needs cleaning; the Back Flush Filter, a self-cleaning filter that provides scrubbing action with every cycle; and the Pressure Regulating Filter (PRF), which combines two parts into one to reduce the number of connections and increase reliability due to a reduced risk of leaking.
