April 11, 2007—Raytec has updated its Raymax infra-red and Raylux white-light illuminators to feature vandal-resistance from now on, the company has announced. Each illuminator is fitted with a polycarbonate lens designed to protect against severe blows from crowbars, baseball bats, stones, and can even withstand shots from air guns.
The new polycarbonate lens is fitted to all Raytec illuminators as standard. As well as providing vandal resistant lighting, the polycarbonate lens allows high light transmission, so Raytec illuminators can continue achieving industry leading illumination distances, says the company.
