November 9, 2001—The American Institute of Architects/Colorado awarded RNL Design of Denver as “Firm of the Year” in its local, state and regional competitions. No firm has ever won all three awards in a single year.
AIA Denver, AIA Colorado and AIA Western Mountain Region recognized RNL for its contribution to architecture by setting an example in design, leadership, professional practice and community service. Awards, sponsorships, mentoring programs and education were also considered. AIA Denver represents 1,200 members, and AIA Colorado represents 2,100 members. The AIA Western Mountain Region comprises all AIA members from the six-state area of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming.
Founded in 1956, RNL Design is a second-generation firm with design offices in Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles and Orange County, California. Today with a staff of 200, RNL Design is organized into Studios specializing in a particular area of design, while providing integrated support to one another.
