RKL Associates, Baltimore architecture/engineering firm, acquired 50 person Howard Snoweiss Design Group, Miami, to expand opportunities in Latin America and the Carribean. The firms previously worked together on a number of projects and will build on the relationships established. Howard Snoweiss, who established the firm bearing his name 20 years ago will be a RTKL vice president and head the Miami office. RTKL has 900 employees. The firm recently won an AIA “excellence in architecture award” for the William Mercer Consulting project, a 17,000 sq.ft. renovation in Northern Virginia.
