Senstar-Stellar’s IntelliFIBER is a fiber optic cable fence-disturbance sensor for outdoor perimeter security applications. It is designed to detect an intruder cutting through, climbing on, or lifting fence fabric. It also provides enhanced protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI), radio frequency interference (RMI), and lightning.
Implementation is simple, says SenStar-Stellar, A programmable microprocessor enables the user to set the operating parameters for each specific zone. Separate parameters are set for cut and climb detection, resulting in independent alarm processing that optimizes detection and minimizes nuisance alarms from wind, rain, snow, fog, animals, debris, and seismic activity. Zone lengths of 2,000 meters (6,500 feet) can be created. IntelliFLEX customers can easily upgrade to the fiber optic cable if desired, says Senstar-Stellar.
