SimplexGrinnell fire systems specialists to assist A&E firms with design, compliance services

August 27, 2004—SimplexGrinnell, a business unit of Tyco Fire & Security, recently announced the formation of a national team of fire and life-safety systems professionals focused on supporting the architectural and engineering community with design and specification services.

The SimplexGrinnell A&E Partnership is composed of NICET-certified specialists with the knowledge and experience required to assist architects and engineers in the full range of facilities design environments, from new construction and additions to upgrades and retrofits.

Covering key cities and regions throughout the US, A&E team members possess an average of 22 years of experience in the fire alarm industry. Supported by SimplexGrinnell’s 160 local offices, the A&E Partnership can help ensure that fire and safety systems are code compliant and designed to provide the best possible performance in the applicable setting.

The support services provided by the SimplexGrinnell A&E Partnership include: development of performance and product specifications; design support; sharing of industry best practices; notification of code changes (NFPA, UL (Underwriters Laboratories Inc., International); and new technology developments.

In addition to direct design support, the SimplexGrinnell A&E Partnership also offers educational services, including training programs, “lunch & learn” sessions, and seminars covering the latest codes and fire systems technology. Participants in the A&E Partnership’s training programs may qualify for CEU credits.
