May 7, 2004—SphereOne designers have created a lightweight, multifunctional light to bring daylight into the workplace. DaylightXL meets all clinical requirements — the stand positions the fixture at “horizon” level for optimum illumination of the lower retinal field; the broad “field of vision” size allows comfortable body and eye movements; and forward projection and diffusion characteristics reduce possible glare.
The reduced second illumination setting creates a comfortable environment under full spectrum light for daylong activities at the computer or desk. DaylightXL is lightweight and easily movable to a variety of locations.
Designed to meet the specifications of the finest clinical light therapy systems, the DaylightXL features:
- two levels of illumination—2000 lux for improved general environmental lighting or 7500 lux for boosting alertness and energy—individually adjustable.
- full, comfortable illuminated field of vision size and shape.
- favored directional illumination at the “horizon” of the viewer—included Plexiglas stand brings the light box to eye-level and above.
- 6500 Kelvin CIE daylight standard—the averaged daylight spectrum of “open shade” is the “white point” standard for viewing computer displays (ISO3664).
- attractive, modern design—lightweight (8 lb/3.6 kg) and portable.
