February 19, 2003—UNICCO Service Company, one of North America’s largest integrated facilities services outsourcing companies, has signed a three-year contract to provide facilities services to Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. The contract covers maintenance and custodial services for 700,000 square feet in twenty-four buildings, as well as equipment maintenance and landscaping services for the college campus.
UNICCO maintenance programs at Spring Hill College have eliminated roof leaks caused by gutter backups and mold problems caused by poorly maintained air conditioner units. Significant improvements to the grounds have been made through improved campus lawn maintenance, replanted flowerbeds, and tree pruning. Equipment operating costs have been reduced through a preventive maintenance program.
