November 18, 2005—The Sylvania 28-Watt Dulux L Supersaver T5 compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) is the newest addition to the company’s expanding line of compact fluorescent products. The Dulux L Supersaver lamps are high lumen, single-ended T5 twin-tube lamps that provide a lumen output similar to 4-foot linear fluorescent lamps, yet are half the length, says Sylvania.
The 28-watt Dulux L Supersaver lamp is a direct, high-efficiency replacement for the 40-watt Dulux L (no ballast change required) and boasts a lamp efficacy of up to 100 lumens per watt. Switching to Sylvania Dulux L Supersaver lamps provide users with 10 percent energy savings while maintaining similar light levels, the company says.
The 28-watt Dulux L Supersaver lamps are available in color temperatures of 3000K, 3500K, and 4100K, with a color rendering index (CRI) of 82. Their improved performance in lighting fixtures makes them ideal for direct and indirect lighting applications, including 2×2 recessed direct or indirect, and wall wash type applications, according to Sylvania.
The lamps operate on Sylvania Quicktronic Instant Start DL ballasts with Quicksense shutdown circuitry that protects against overheated bases and sockets at end-of-lamp life. The system is covered by the comprehensive Sylvania Quick 60+ warranty.
