January 19, 2004—Synergis Technologies, an Autodesk solutions provider in the Mid-Atlantic region, has entered into an alliance with Applied Spatial Technologies (AST), an Autodesk authorized developer, whereby Synergis will sell and support AST’s popular facilities management software, FM Desktop.
This agreement will bring Synergis’ expertise in software consulting, implementation, training, and support to a new customer segment. The combination of FM Desktop, a computer-aided FM system, and Synergis’ commitment to ensuring maximum productivity and return on investment will address the many challenges facing Facilities Managers.
FM Desktop, developed by and for CAD operators and Facilities Managers, is a full suite of scaleable FM products that use industry standard components to help manage facilities drawings, data, assets, and occupants in a graphical format. FM Desktop addresses the four major functions of facilities management:
- Space and asset management;
- Project and move management;
- Emergency response and recovery planning; and
- Demand and preventive maintenance management.
