July 16, 2004—The MACK Group, LLC was awarded a contract to perform asbestos abatement at the former GAF facility located in South Bound Brook, New Jersey. The facility, which is over 100 years old, is situated on approximately 10.5 acres and consists of 17 buildings and other various structures.
The Mack Group, LLCs scope of work includes asbestos abatement of transite roofing, transite wall panels, pipe insulation, floor tile, tank insulation, boiler insulation and asphalt roofing. To accomplish this project in a same and efficient manner, a workforce of over 25 OSHA and asbestos abatement trained workers will be utilized. In addition, numerous manlifts and lulls will be utilized to assist the workers in removing, lowering and staging the materials onsite for future transportation and disposal.
