March 17, 2004—Thomson Prometric, a provider of technology-enabled testing and assessment services, and the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) have agreed to deliver the GBCA’s computer-based accreditation, the Green Star Accredited Professional exam, through the Thomson Prometric Testing Center Network.
The GBCA needed increased accessibility for its accreditation program to support the program’s growing demand. Those who work in the green building industry need to certify their skill set conveniently in order to confirm that they are eligible and qualified to work, as builders, for the protection of the Australian environment. These individuals include construction consultants, engineers and contractors.
Delivering the computer-based Green Star Accredited Professional exam through the Thomson Prometric Australian Testing Center Network gives the Council an unprecedented convenience, efficiency and an advanced learning measurement system for its certification candidates. On December 29, 2003, the Green Star Accredited Professional exam went live in Australian Thomson Prometric testing centers.
