March 21, 2007—Titan Energy Development, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Titan Energy Worldwide, Inc., has completed the redesign and construction of the Sentry 5000, the company’s flagship product.
The Sentry 5000 allows for mobile deployment and supports emergency power generation, water purification, satellite voice and data communication, emergency area lighting, space conditioning (heat or cooling), and offers 50kW+ additional power capacity. The enhancements were designed to improve the functionality and operation of the Sentry 5000 following nearly a year of testing and use by Titan customers.
Among the redesigned elements are:
- A redesigned back end with 20 additional inches and three new doors.
- A redesigned air intake louver in the engine generator section for noise reduction. In addition, the exhaust scoop was rotated 180 degrees, and enclosed in the back end to create a cleaner look.
- Two double doors were added to the front of the HVAC compartment, increasing the serviceability of the heating and cooling unit. The HVAC system fans have been redesigned, eliminating six 90-degree turns in the heating and cooling output ducting.
- The water purification system now incorporates a seven-step filtration and ultra violet light process. An electric hose reel was installed directly above the system for ease of operating and storage. By dividing the water section in half, Sentry 5000 now provides a tool box for storage of spare parts and tools.
