November 6, 2002—The latest addition to Trane’s Axiom line of water-source heat pumps is a 20-ton water-to-water heat pump that can be used in applications such as radiant heat, fan coil systems, or fresh air ventilation systems. Similar to a small reverse-cycle chiller, a water-to-water heat pump contains a source-side water-to-refrigerant heat exchanger and a load-side water-to-refrigerant heat exchanger.
