August 20, 2001—Tyco International has acquired the electronic security systems businesses of Cambridge Protection Industries, which includes SecurityLink and provides services to approximately one million residential, commercial, and government customers. The businesses will join Tyco’s ADT Security Services. Tyco expects the transaction to be immediately accretive to Tyco’s earnings per share and free cash flow.
