August 14, 2002—The US Green Building Council (USGBC), the nation’s leading coalition promoting green buildings, recently announced an annual awards program honoring leaders who are helping transform the building market. USGBC will nominate candidates during August and announce winners in November.
The Annual Awards program will feature awards in three major categories: The Green Business Award, for an individual or company that has advanced the green building market through partnership, technique, or product; the Green Public Service Award, for an individual or organization that has advanced green building through changes in policies, codes, requirements, and other means; and the USGBC Leadership Award, for an individual who has demonstrated a sustained commitment to the organization through active participation in the development and advancement of its mission.
The winners will be announced in November at the First Annual International Green Building Conference and Expo in Austin, Texas.
