February 26, 2007—Woodhead Industries, a division of Molex Incorporated, is introducing the Woodhead LED Hand Lamp.
The compact, battery-operated hand lamp employs 30 light emitting diodes (LEDs), which generate 780 initial lumens of light – the equivalent light output of a 13-watt compact fluorescent bulb – and provide 100,000 hours of service life. Yet the lamps use less than 0.1 Amp, making them energy efficient, economical to operate, and cool to the touch.
Compact in size for use in tight or confined work spaces, the new Woodhead LED Hand Lamp features an integral rechargeable battery pack to provide optimum flexibility and portability in a multitude of industrial applications, such as aerospace manufacturing and maintenance, shipyards, food processing plants and other industrial environments, notes the company.
