As Texas prepares to deregulate its electricity market on Jan. 1, 2002, Entergy Solutions, a new subsidiary of Entergy, will begin planning a range of energy products and services to offer the state’s customers. These products and services include electricity, new price options, energy information services, and e-commerce solutions. They will be available to commercial, industrial and residential consumers. The first products and services will be offered during a pilot program to be conducted by the state through 2001. Entergy Solutions has already filed an application for certification as a Retail Electric Provider with the Public Utility Commission of Texas.
