Endicott College upgrades campus security with CoVi HD cameras

August 15, 2007—Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts, recently completed a high-tech, campus-wide security upgrade using more than 30 high-definition cameras from CoVi Technologies. The cameras were integrated into Endicott’s existing analog monitoring system, and installed at campus entrances to deter crime, as well as near a landmark 2,500 sq. ft. fountain to deter vandalism.

The HD cameras are part of CoVi’s complete IP video solution, where video is stored at the edge of the network, making it easily accessible and manageable for security personnel and IT administrators without causing network bottlenecks, explains CoVi.

CoVi says the HD cameras provide up to 12 times greater resolution and a 30 percent wider field of view than analog cameras, giving Campus Safety’s Investigation Unit better quality video information to easily monitor multiple campus areas.
