FM:Systems introduces updated version of FM:Interact, which analyzes facilities in real time

January 11, 2006—FM:Systems, a company providing integrated workplace management systems to companies such as GMAC, Cendant, Computer Associates and Devon Energy, is launching version 7.0 of FM:Interact.

This latest version builds on the company’s 22-year tradition of enabling facilities and real estate professionals to access accurate and up-to-date facility data in real-time, according to FM:Systems.

FM:Interact, a modular suite of Web-based applications, allows organizations to access and analyze facilities, real estate and maintenance information in real time. FM:Interact modules include Space Management, Lease and Property Management, Asset Management, Strategic Planning, Move Management, and Service Request Management.

Key new features include Dynamic DWF, which leverages Autodesks DWF (Design Web Format) technology to allow users to turn layers on or off, add annotations and graphically display the results of data queries on CAD drawings from a standard Web browser; Configurable Web Forms, a set of features that give workplace professionals the ability to quickly and easily create easy-to-use Web forms without Web programming; and Enhanced Stacking, which allows workplace professionals to project space needs by assignable square feet, head count or usable square feet to more quickly create accurate space forecasts.
