August 20, 2001—Kmart has selected the FSA to provide janitorial service in 23 Central and Southeast states and heating and air conditioning maintenance in 11 Central region states, with a combined contract value in excess of $100 million over 24 months.
FSA is an alliance between FBG Service Corporation, Kimco Corporation, Control Building Services, Inc., Varsity Contractors and Four Seasons Mechanical Services. The alliance was created specifically to offer retailers a comprehensive bundle of services leveraging the collective experience of five of the countrys leading regionally based, privately held contract service firms.
FSA, headquartered in Chicago, will manage the Kmart project from new offices in Troy, Michigan, close to the Kmart corporate headquarters.
