July 6, 2007—FSI FM signed a contract to provide its computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) System, Concept 500, to Kerzner International, the developers of Atlantis, on the Palm Jumejirah. The contract is said to be worth over US $250,000 (AED 918,000) and the deal will include modules for monitoring stores, orders, and property and estates management.
Kerzner’s decision to award the contract to FSI was not only based on the strength of its CAFM system. FSI’s knowledge and experience of facilities management played a vital role in securing the deal, according to FSI.
FSI’s work on data collection for the assets associated with the project will commence in July 2007. Kerzner said that by using a CAFM system, it believes the hotel’s operations will run more effectively and benefit from a more efficient service.
