December 27, 2002—Hacker Industries Inc., a supplier of cementitious floor underlayments, has increased the Underwriters Laboratories listings for its FIRM-FILL Gypsum Concretes and GYP-SPAN Radiant floor underlayments from sixty-six to eighty-two. These UL listings detail floor ceiling assemblies utilizing a Hacker Floor Underlayment as an integral component to achieve a one, two, three, or four-hour fire rating.
Hacker Floor Underlayments will now be added as an option or alternate flooring system in the following UL designs: L504, L508, L510, L516, L517, L520, L527, L532, L533, L538, L539, L540, L543, L545, L546, L547, and L548.
FIRM-FILL Gypsum Concretes and GYP-SPAN Radiant are lightweight, crack and fire-resistant, high-strength, and cost efficient floor underlayments. They are ideal over virtually any subfloor surface, from plywood to cracked concrete.
