Harden Contract intros Ora Collection of executive seating

by Rebecca Walker — October 3, 2008 The new Ora Collection of executive seating from Harden Contract uses sustainable solid hardwoods for designs that are both modern and comfortable.

Ora chairs are completely at ease in both transitional and traditional settings, says the company. One reason is exquisite, standard hardwood details, which include a proprietary dovetail bumper-tip base—a nod to centuries of Harden hand craftsmanship. (For more contemporary settings, polished metal and black base options are also available.)

Ora’s advanced, high-end comfort features include a hardwood frame and elastomeric seat suspension, which provide comfort beyond molded-plywood or plastic seat pan chairs. The collection’s curvilinear back design is wide at the top to enhance upper body support.

Designed by Tom Newhouse, Ora executive and management task chairs are available in two sizes, with mid- and high-back options. Optional back height adjustment allows users to choose their preferred lumbar support position. Optional arm height and width adjustments let them adapt the chair to their individual physiologies and work habits. Conference chairs with suitable adjustments are also available.

As with all Harden furniture, the Ora Collection is made to the same rigid sustainability standards that earned the company Silver Exemplary Status from the Sustainable Furniture Council. For more information, see the company Web site
