March 17, 2004—IDenticard has announced the release of its freshly enhanced series of IDentiPASS access control systems. New to the company’s family of premier access control solutions is IDentiPASS PLUS—a feature-rich product that facilitates the integration of the latest emerging security technologies.
A cornerstone of IDentiPASS PLUS, as well as IDentiPASS and IDentiPASS LT, the two companion systems offered by IDenticard, is PASSPort—a dynamic mapping module capable of transforming an access control system into an interactive control center. PASSPort enables customers to monitor alarms, relays, and doors through a floor plan/graphic map interface.
Powered by Ortega InfoSystems, PASSPort can be accessed via a web browser and also provides live video viewing from IP-addressable cameras. For IDentiPASS PLUS and IDentiPASS, PASSPort provides digital video recorder (DVR) integration by linking DVR action to system events and transactions.
The newest entry into the access control product line, IDentiPASS PLUS is designed for exclusive use with IDenticard Series 9000 panels and auxiliary equipment. Through connections with remote input/output boards and reader expansion cards, customers can benefit from the advanced security provided by biometric readers, relay-controlled devices and other access control equipment.
For businesses relying on integrated security solutions, IDentiPASS PLUS offers unrivaled versatility. It can be used with CCTV and paging systems, and can be integrated with time and attendance systems. What’s more, IDentiPASS PLUS is an intelligent decision-maker and a capable communicator. Through a distributed database design, the system panels use microprocessors that make smart decisions on system events and communicate with the host PC running the software. After polling the panels for system events, IDentiPASS PLUS downloads system settings and data to the panels.
Among the features unique to IDentiPASS PLUS are schedule history archiving, virtually unlimited access groups assigned to cardholders, the ability to copy cardholder data to a new card number, flexible door and door group configurations, and enhanced elevator groups.
