December 18, 2002—The UK Chapter of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) will formally launch its training and qualification program in January 2003, adding to the growing range of professional development options open to FMs in the UK.
The Certified Facility Manager (CFM) program, adapted from its North American parent, has been introduced into 25 countries so far. IFMA says a key characteristic of the qualification is that it is truly portable.
The CFM examination is open to all practicing facility managers, whether or not they are members of IFMA. A series of training workshops to help candidates prepare, run by Profectus Training on behalf of IFMA, starts in January.
