Two key technology players serving the office furniture market are merging to become a software provider to the industry. Under terms of the merger, Intellicon Inc., Jacksonville, Florida, will become a subsidiary of 20-20 Technologies Inc. of Montreal, Quebec.
Known as 20-20 Intellicon Inc., the merged firm will provide an integrated family of software products and services to cover the full spectrum of the furniture industry’s needs, from desktop to Web to wireless. 20-20 is now bundling Intellicon’s QuotePad Pro specification software with Version 6.0 of its Office Design software.
The merged company’s vision is to become the dominant provider of automated tools and services for the sales, layout, specification, and management of office furniture. Intellicon and 20-20 will join forces to provide an integrated suite of products that support different levels of users in many different applications. The merger should be complete in the third quarter 2000.
