Jacobs wins engineering and construction contract with US Air Force

May 5, 2006—Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has been awarded a contract from the US Air Force (USAF) to provide engineering and construction services for the Air Force, the Department of Defense, and other Federal agencies worldwide, says the company.

The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity Heavy Engineering Repair and Construction (HERC) contract was awarded by the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence (AFCEE) at Brooks City-Base, Texas. The USAF made multiple awards under this procurement and estimates the value of the five- year contracts, with three one-year option periods and an additional three years to complete performance, at $6 billion total for all contracts awarded, with the potential to increase up to $15 billion.

Under the HERC contract, Jacobs will provide engineering and construction management services to support military construction and operations and maintenance worldwide.
