Johnson Controls has finalized its previously announced seven-year contract with Novartis for the delivery of integrated facilities management and infrastructure services at four sites across Novartis’ Basel, Switzerland, headquarters. The contract is believed to be one of the largest outsourcing agreements in Central Europe. The four sites comprise 17 million square feet of manufacturing, research and development, and administrative operations in support of Novartis’ healthcare business. Johnson Controls will standardize FM service delivery to Novartis and also provide technical services that include production support, fire, security, synthetics technology, and company health services.
