Manhattan Software acquires CenterStone, forming one of the largest Integrated Workplace Management Systems

December 15, 2006—Manhattan Software, Inc., has acquired CenterStone Software, Inc., to create one of the world’s largest Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), according to the November ’06 announcement.

The combination of Manhattan and CenterStone brings together two of the strongest software brands for planning, operating, and managing the workplace. CenterStone offers a leading Web-based space management application, while Manhattan provides an advanced financial portfolio, project, and maintenance management solution, according to the companies.

CenterStone’s software will retain the name CenterStone, and both the Manhattan and CenterStone products will continue to be developed and enhanced to deliver a market-leading combined solution. The new entity will be known as Manhattan CenterStone, Inc.

Existing CenterStone users are expected to benefit from Manhattan Software’s strong financial backing, global infrastructure, and heavy emphasis on research and development, quality assurance, system testing, and customer support. CenterStone customers seeking extra functionality will be able to progress to a full IWMS application simply by adding Manhattans highly flexible and easy to use modules. According to Gartner Research, Manhattan has one of the markets best data architectures and user interfaces, with particularly strong financial and cost accounting functionality.

Manhattan customers will now be able to take advantage of one of the best available management systems to help them manage their expensive space resources.
