October 24, 2007—Manpower Inc., a world leader in the employment services industry, recently appointed Johnson Controls Global WorkPlace Solutions to provide facilities management services for its 280,000-square-foot headquarters in downtown Milwaukee.
The company also renewed a contract for Johnson Controls to manage the facilities for a growing network of corporate-owned field locations serving Manpower and its Right Management and Jefferson Wells subsidiaries throughout the United States and Canada. The agreements run until 2010 and provide Manpower with a professional, single-source management team for its dynamic facilities.
The field offices contract calls for Johnson Controls to manage real estate, design and project management services such as site selection, construction management, vendor management, field incidentals and lease database administration. It also will include any new offices that are opened during the duration of the contract.
The scope of work for Manpower’s world headquarters, which opened Sept. 17, includes coordinating the relocation of 900 employees, building repair and maintenance, security and heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) services. Johnson Controls has maintained a hands-on role from conception of the project, including site selection and construction management.
