November 22, 2002—MRO Software, Inc., is offering its strategic asset management solution MAXIMO as a hosted offering through its relationship with IBM. IBM Global Services will host MAXIMO 5 in its data centers providing customers access via secure, scalable infrastructure.
To support this offering, MRO Software, a provider of e-business solutions for strategic asset management, has joined IBM’s new Application Enablement Program to take advantage of IBM’s hosting centers as an alternative method for customer software deployment. This agreement will allow MRO Software to offer a hosted alternative for its MAXIMO 5 strategic asset management solution to customers considering outsourcing as part of their IT strategy. IBM’s hosting model offers customers the opportunity to tailor MAXIMO to meet their business needs and to integrate MAXIMO with their other strategic enterprise applications.
IBM features a flexible menu of hosting options that can provide cost savings to the software customer by providing access to secure and scalable on-demand infrastructure. Application customization and integration services can be provided by either MRO Software or IBM Business Consulting Services.
