February 13, 2002—International Electronics Inc., a leader in stand-alone access control, recently released its new Door*Gard LS-1 Intelligent Lockset.
The Door*Gard LS-1 combines keypad technology with a UL-listed, Grade-1 lockset to form a battery-operated, stand-alone system. Easy to install with no hardwiring, the LS-1 allows up to 120 individual users, each with their own unique personal identification number up to six digits long. Designed for either indoor or outdoor use, the LS-1 is powered by four AA batteries, which provide up to 150,000 uses. The Door*Gard LS-1 is suited for installations at airports, hospitals, municipalities, universities, banks, and office buildings, and is available in conventional cylinder and interchangeable core versions. Cylindrical, mortise, and tubular locksets are offered as well as four standard trim designs. The Door*Gard LS-1 is ANSI and ADA compliant. The list price is approximately $555.00.
