New MegaStar Systems spec sheet describes file storage options for Electric Lateral File System

July 3, 2002—A new specification sheet from MegaStar Systems describes carrier configuration options for multimedia file storage using the Electric Lateral File (ELF) System.

Carrier configurations include multipurpose divided carriers for letter and legal file folders, hanging frame carriers with rollout drawers for suspended files, and rollout drawers for letter and legal folders with top tab index. Other carrier options include universal carriers that have adjustable shelf heights for office material and boxes, special carriers for forms and publications, and a security carrier with lockable compartments.

The ELF system is a series of vertically arranged rotating carriers controlled by an electronic keypad or software. It is designed to replace less efficient filing cabinets, shelving, mobile, and rotary filing systems, and holds the same number of files as traditional four-drawer filing cabinets or lateral files in 50 to 60 percent less space.
