January 11, 2006—Newpoint, a leading manufacturer and distributor of power management solutions, has introduced the Vantego family of expandable surge protectors. The new product line incorporates the company’s advanced V3 surge protection technology and Power Blocker automatic shutdown capabilities, says Newpoint.
Depending on the model, the Vantego family provides from 9 to 16 total outlets. Each configuration is designed to offer an optimal combination of basic plugs and larger adapter plugs, while maintaining a compact size, in order to meet the needs of applications ranging from high-end workstation protection to safeguarding a home theater configuration.
According to Newpoint, the design allows for the expandable outlets to remain hidden until they are needed. To use the additional connections, the user need only slide the two ends of the surge suppressor apart to reveal the additional outlets.
