December 29, 2003—Onset Computer Corporation’s new HOBO U12 Stainless Temp Logger is a stainless steel, food-grade data logger designed for food and beverage, pharmaceutical, autoclave, and other industrial applications where high-accuracy, reliable temperature data is critical. The battery-powered data logger, which fits into a standard-sized beverage bottleneck, measures and records temperatures from -40 to 125 degrees Celsius and can withstand process conditions from pasteurization to flash freezing and wash down, as well as underwater conditions.
For plotting and analyzing data, Onset offers its easy-to-use GreenLine software package. GreenLine enables users to launch and read out the loggers with point-and-click simplicity, and offers real-time monitoring capability on a PC. The software also offers the ability to view multiple channels from a single logger on one graph, and one-click conversion of data for easy upload into Microsoft Excel software.
The HOBO U12 Stainless Temp Logger is currently available from Onset, priced at $249. The GreenLine software starter kit, which includes GreenLine software, USB cable, and manual, is priced at $59.
