UMIC is the facilities management and business support service provider for the University of Manchester, providing state-of-the-art facilities and top quality business support services for start-up and early-stage companies. These services include high-quality conference and event facilities in the Core Technology Facility (CTF), located in the heart of Manchester’s vibrant academic and business community. The CTF offers twelve event spaces with capacities ranging from 2 — 130 people.
The Rendezvous solution went live at the beginning of 2010, and replaces a simple, bespoke intranet-based room allocation system. Implementation of Rendezvous allows UMIC to enjoy a streamlined booking and coordination process, and reduces time spent on manual administration tasks.
