by Jbs022209 j3 — February 25, 2009—The Center for Resource Solutions recently announced that Solberg Manufacturing, Inc. joined the center’s Green-e Marketplace by purchasing enough Green-e Certified renewable energy to meet 100% of the annual electricity needs for its entire US operations.
The Itasca, Illinois-based company purchased 891 MWh of Green-e Energy Certified renewable energy certificates (RECs) from Blue Star Energy. As a member of Green-e Marketplace, Solberg Manufacturing can now display the Green-e logo to inform customers that its products and services were produced using 100% Green-e Certified renewable energy in both its headquarters and manufacturing facility.
The Green-e Energy renewable energy certification and verification program provides independent, third-party certification to ensure certified renewable energy meets strict environmental and consumer protection standards, including ensuring renewable energy is sourced from verified, new facilities; not double-counted towards any state’s renewable energy goal; and retired on behalf of the purchaser. By joining Green-e Marketplace, Solberg Manufacturing is submitting to auditing procedures that verify the organization’s purchase.
Solberg Manufacturing, Inc. is a manufacturer and distributor of filter silencers, inlet vacuum filters, separators, and air/oil mist eliminators for industrial processes including compressors, blowers, vacuum pumps, and turbines worldwide.
