Trendway’s Choices2 furniture system has speedy delivery schedule, more cabling capacity

April 15, 2002—A survey of the mid-market customer base revealed performance, value, and delivery time as important factors in furniture systems. Trendway has incorporated these attributes in its new Choices2 furniture line. Choices 2 complements the original Choices that Trendway introduced a decade ago. Trendway states that Choices2 offers delivery in two weeks, often less, and specials take no more than four weeks. Trendway points out that 95% of the anticipated Choices2 volume will be available through Trendway Xpress quick-ship program that promises shipment within three days. Trendway explains that it achieved the feat by adopting a highly automated manufacturing process that allows it to produce Choices2 far more efficiently than it could the original Choices line. However, the original Choices will continue to be available for existing customers.

Choices2 consists of a complete line of panel-hung and freestanding workstation components, including filing, storage, and tables. Among features is a new panel design, which accommodates a variety of full or segmented inserts. These inserts easily slide in and out of the frame, meaning end users can change the look, or replace damaged panels, in the field without removing components or disassembling workstations. Trendway claims that such versatility dramatically reduces the long-term cost of ownership.

Compared with the inaugural Choices line, Choices2 also offers increased cabling capacity, a top raceway for additional lay-in capability, and access to power and data at both the base and desk height. In addition, many components are equipped with cable pass-through to make data and power management even more convenient.
