Tyco Electronics Corporation has acquired Fisk Corporation, one of the largest diversified electrical and technology infrastructure companies in the United States. Today’s acquisition is part of an ongoing strategy by Tyco Electronics to become the dominant single source, full-service system integrator of electrical, data, audio/video, sound, lighting, and HVAC control systems. Fisk immediately provides Tyco Electronics with the presence to offer complete voice, data and electrical services to large national and global accounts.
The acquisition of Fisk Electric will greatly augment Tyco Electronics’ existing network of authorized Netconnect Design and Installation (ND&I) contractors, a vital component of Tyco Electronics’ services arm. Fisk will manage the usage of ND&I contractors on future projects to serve regional and national clients. Fisk already installs and services many products manufactured by Tyco Electronics, including the company’s AMP Netconnect data cabling systems.
