Working Mother magazine has again ranked Booz-Allen & Hamilton one of the nation’s most family-friendly companies. The management and technology consulting firm was among the magazine’s selection of the 100 Best Companies for Working Mothers. This marked the second year that Booz-Allen & Hamilton was so honored. This year’s award coincided with the opening of a new childcare center, Booz-Allen Family Center, in the Edwin Booz building at company headquarters in McLean, Virginia.
The five criteria for Working Mother’s 100 Best Companies are: child care, leave for new parents, flexible work arrangements, work/life benefits such as eldercare and adoption assistance, and opportunities for women to advance. Editors looked at a range of supportive company offerings, including health insurance premiums, availability of time off to care for sick kids, monitoring programs, and extras such as on-site gyms and other conveniences.
