What does it take to be qualified to fulfill FM positions? What are the requirements and skills that appear frequently in job descriptions?
- Preferred: Advanced degree; advanced Excel expertise (including pivot tables and complex workbooks); experience with SAP and BrioQuery or Cognos; familiarity with PowerPoint and presentation tools; and knowledge of fundraising operations and experience working with volunteers
- Partner with Facilities leadership to identify technology solutions that improve efficiency, sustainability, and the campus user experience. Evaluate and recommend emerging Facilities technologies, including AI and automation, for scalable and innovative adoption
- Ensure safety and security of all assigned buildings, including emergency preparedness, incident response, and compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations
- Provide leadership to ensure efficient, high-quality, proactive, fiscally responsible services, and act as a role model in supporting and promoting OHSU’s vision, mission and customer service philosophy
- Experience: Ten years plus construction and facilities management as well as experience stewarding major capital projects. This person will be a highly organized and energetic individual with a deep knowledge of building systems, bidding and permitting processes, code compliance, and safety regulations.
- Conduct technical reviews: Of architectural designs, drawings, specification, and construction documents
- Integration: Systematically integrate all-source intelligence, geotechnical data, topographical data, facility expertise, and facility design and maintenance principles to characterize heavy industrial facility missions and physical configurations
- Experience managing complex utility plants, distribution systems, and multi-building facility operations including maintenance and vendor oversight
